Overview
These two connected 45-minute Grade 3 writing lessons develop sentence-level grammar first and then use those skills to create an organized paragraph. Lesson 1 focuses on subject-verb agreement and varied sentence types. Lesson 2 builds from those skills as students write a focused paragraph with supporting details and a clear closing sentence. Any student reading passage is provided only on the accompanying worksheet and is not reproduced here.
