Description
Overview
This two-lesson sequence builds fourth-grade number sense with multi-digit whole numbers. Lesson 1 focuses on reading, writing, and comparing multi-digit numbers using place-value reasoning. Lesson 2 connects that understanding to rounding numbers by identifying the rounding place and using the digit to its right to decide whether to round down or up. Both lessons use common household materials and include observation-based checks and written evidence of learning.
