Overview
These two connected 45-minute first-grade lessons use a supplied worksheet passage to help students read informational text. Lesson 1 teaches students to use headings, captions, and a glossary to learn information. Lesson 2 builds on that work by helping students identify the main topic and key details in the same or a related supplied nonfiction worksheet passage.
