Two connected 45-minute Grade 7 Language Arts lessons on reading informational texts. Lesson 1 teaches students to identify claims and evaluate the relevance and sufficiency of supporting evidence in the worksheet-provided source. Lesson 2 builds on that work by comparing how two authors present the same topic, including their claims, evidence choices, organization, tone, and use of text features.
