These two connected 45-minute lessons guide sixth-grade writers through drafting a narrative with an engaging lead, developed plot, and effective ending, then revising that same narrative for voice, elaboration, and coherence. Students use a personal or imagined small-moment story and common classroom or household writing materials. The worksheet may supply an exact reading passage; this plan does not reproduce or invent one.
