Overview
These two connected 45-minute Grade 8 writing lessons move students from drafting a concise research-based explanatory text to revising that draft through structured peer feedback and audience-focused decisions. Lesson 1 uses the worksheet-supplied source passage as the research base; students do not need any additional reading passage or outside resource. Lesson 2 uses the drafts created in Lesson 1.
