Overview
This two-lesson sequence helps first-grade students gather facts for research writing and then revise a short piece of writing using feedback. Lesson 1 focuses on asking a research question and recording facts from two supplied sources. Lesson 2 uses the notes from Lesson 1 to practice revision with teacher or peer feedback. Each lesson uses the worksheet-supplied passages; no reading passage is reproduced in this plan.
