Overview
This two-lesson sequence develops seventh-grade writers’ control of sentence craft and paragraph cohesion. In Lesson 1, students revise language and sentence structure to fit a specific audience and purpose. In Lesson 2, students build on that work by revising paragraphs with logical transitions and varied sentence openings. The supplied worksheet passage is used for all text-based work; no separate reading passage is included in this plan.
