Description
Overview
This two-lesson Grade 2 sequence teaches students to write a clear opinion about a familiar topic and then strengthen that opinion with reasons and examples. Lesson 1 focuses on introducing a topic and stating an opinion clearly. Lesson 2 builds directly on that work by adding supporting reasons and examples. Both lessons use teacher-created oral prompts and student writing; no student reading passage is included or required in this plan.
