Description
Overview
These two connected 45-minute lessons build operational fluency and problem-solving within 10. Lesson 1 develops solving addition and subtraction situations with concrete objects, fingers, drawings, and equations. Lesson 2 extends that work to modeling and solving simple word problems using objects or drawings. All activities use common household or classroom materials and do not require a student reading passage.
